JWH-210 is a research chemical of the naphthoylindole family. JWH-210 is classified into the aminoalkylindole group with naphthoylindole moiety as a parent structure.
It is also one of the most potent 4-substituted naphthoyl derivatives in the naphthoylindole series with a higher affinity than both its 4-methyl and 4-n-propyl homologs, JWH-122 and JWH-182.
It was discovered by and named after John W. Huffman.
Known metabolites of JWH-210 are JWH-210 N-pentanoic acid metabolite, JWH-210 N-(4-hydroxypentyl) metabolite , JWH-210 N-(5- hydroxypentyl) metabolite, and JWH-210 5 hydroxyindole metabolite. Hydroxylations on the napthoyl ring have also been reported
