What is Diclazepam?

Diclazepam also known as Chlorodiazepam is a research chemical that falls under the benzodiazepine class. Diclazepam was first synthesized in the 1960s and is a structural analogue of Diazepam. Research results show that Diclazepam has many similar properties as other Benzodiazepines and thus producing very similar results in experiments. Normal results suggest findings of muscle relaxation, sedation, disinhibition, anxiety suppression, thought deceleration, analysis suppression, dream potentiation, and residual sleepiness. Researchers should be well aware of the residual sleepiness findings before they begin experimenting with Diclazepam in their laboratories. Therefore your due diligence in safety is important when handling benzodiazepines, and when experimenting with Diclazepam.

Chemical Properties of Diclazepam

Diclazepam is a chemical from the benzodiazepine class that means it will contain a benzene ring that is fused to a diazepam ring, this is a seven membered ring with two nitrogen constituents located at R1 and R4. Diclazepam contains an oxygen group that is double bonded to R2 of its diazepam ring to form a ketone. This oxygen substitute is seen and shared with other benzodiazepines that have the Suffix Azepam.
Benzodiazepines work by binding to the benzodiazepine receptor site and magnifying the efficiency and effects of the neurotransmitter gamma aminobutyric acid also known as ‘GABA’. This is the most prolific inhibitory receptor set within the brain and in studies this is what Diclazepam would work with, when benzodiazepines are introduced it produces calming effects on the nervous system.
Diclazepam’s systematic name or alternatively chemical formula is,
7-chloro-5-(2-chlorophenyl)-1-methyl-1,3-dihydro-2H-1,4-benzodiazepine-2-one, this shows how the bindings of this chemical come together to make Diclazepam. The image below is its chemical structure and also details around its chemical properties. These things all contribute to why Diclazepam effects, in studies, show this chemical as a Benzodiazepine.

Note: Although Diclazepam effects have not been studied in depth in humans, we do know that it shares many similar chemical properties with Diazepam which has been studied and used since the late 1950s, therefore Diclazepam should be treated with respect and care when researching. Diclazepam is not approved for human consumption, it is for lab-based experiments only. Please ensure that all the correct Personal Protective Equipment is used, this includes Overalls, Gloves, goggles and a mask. Doing this will prevent any accidental ingestion or absorption of the chemical.
